Sazi di cibo e coccole della mamma, forse un po’ stanchi e leggermente provati dal torpore che, puntualmente, marchia a fuoco gli oziosi giorni di festa, saremmo passati per Roma per un velocissimo cambio bagagli. E so che suona tanto cine-panettone, eppure tant’è: quest’anno ‘capodanno a New York’. Sfidando tempeste di neve, freddo e gelo, pregustando già bagels, grattacieli mozzafiato ed incessante turbinio da Grande Mela… lascerei un saluto veloce, con gli immancabili auguri per il nuovo anno: la sostanza è sempre la stessa, voi scegliete cosa desiderare ed io incrocio le dita affinchè tutto possa andarvi sempre per il meglio! ;)) E giusto per restare in tema di fortuna, tradizioni e piccoli-grandi simboli beneauguranti, il saluto lo accompagno alle doverose lenticchie di Capodanno. Quelle che, per quanto mi riguarda, richiedono l’inossidabile ricetta di mamma, semplice ed essenziale (sia la mamma che la ricetta :))… e quindi eccoci, tanti auguri and cheers. :))
Lenticchie di Capodanno
Mettete a bagno le lenticchie per un po’ di ore (seguite le istruzioni che, solitamente, sono indicate sulla confezione). In una casseruola, ponete le lenticchie scolate con tanto brodo quanto basta a ricoprirle interamente: cuocete per mezz’ora a fiamma media. Unite, quindi, uno spicchio d’aglio, carota, sedano e abbondante cipolla (tutto tagliato a pezzetti grossolani), un giro d’olio extravergine d’oliva, un paio di pomodorini a pezzetti e cuocete per un’ora sempre a fiamma media (evitate di cuocere troppo e tenete presente che i tempi di cottura dipendono molto dalla qualità delle lenticchie e da quante ore le avrete lasciate in ammollo). Tenete sempre del brodo caldo a portata di mano: la zuppa dovrà risultare cremosa e densa (non acquosa), aggiungete liquido solo se strettamente necessario. A cottura ultimata, regolate di sale e pepe, spegnete la fiamma e mantecate con un pezzetto di burro.
