E oggi vi racconto un po’ di cosine belle, cose che succedono da stè parti insomma! Iniziamo da Talenti (l’ormai famigerato quartiere romano che ci ospita da ben due settimane, devo dire, con sommo, sommo gaudio) e puntiamo il dito su… lo zio d’america, già menzionato varie volte di striscio, capirai, è a 10 minuti da casa! Quindi, zio d’america, cosa bella numero 1… e pensare che l’avevo etichettato (un po’ frettolosamente) fast-food, la parola america condiziona, non c’è niente da fare! Mi sbagliavo! C’è tutto un mondo da scoprire là dentro: ok, la sezione fast-food c’è eccome (apro e chiudo parentesi, è l’ unico aspetto, diciamo, un tantino deludente di tutto l’ambaradan, ecco), poi, supermercato annesso, paradiso gourmand vi basta?! Stesso discorso per la (super) enoteca… qui plauso ai sommelier, bravi bravi! Dulcis in fundo, ristorante… aperto praticamente seeempreeee, per la gioia del cortesissimo personale suppongo! Comunque non scherzo sul cortesissimo, tipo che chiedi “scusi, dov’è il bagno?”, ringrazi e loro “s’immagini, ma grazie a lei”!!! Grazie perchè… vado al bagno?! La prima volta pensavo mi stessero prendendo in giro, giuro, sarà che la sera prima ero stata dai fratelli la bufala, lì sono un tantino più burberi, vabbè ma questa è un’altra storia. Cosa bella numero 2: non so bene perché, sarà la mia aria spaesata e assorta (non sono distratta, mi disegnano così), giuro, non fanno che piovermi addosso consigli, dritte, prova questo, vai di qua, vedi dillà, sempre tutto azzecatissimo tra l’altro! Come il ragazzo che, come me, aspettava la pizza da asporto al ristorante sotto casa (dopo mi sono sinceramente chiesta se per una pizza così valesse davvero la pena mettersi in fila… ma è bastato uno sguardo agli scatoloni in giro per casa, ah ecco, si). Insomma, classico small-talk da attesa tediosissima e stò tipo se ne esce con “sai che allo zio d’america cucina Massimiliano Mariola, quello del gambero rosso?!” Il giorno dopo ero lì a prendere informazioni, dai camerieri più cortesi del mondo: signora, Max c’è quasi sempre, ma diciamo che anche se non c’è… è come se ci fosse, sa ormai abbiamo un certo marchio! Piano, piano, abbiate pietà di alice nel paese delle meraviglie… senza troppi giri di parole, quando lo trovo Max, please??? Il resto della storia ve lo documento con un po’ di foto eloquenti: serata degustazione, cena con abbinamento di vini (Ceretto…non sono una grande intenditrice, comunque buonissimissimi il Dolcetto d’Alba e le bollicine del Moscato finale, yum), un Mariola assolutamente all’altezza delle aspettative, le mie, anzi di più, visto che era davvero tutto impeccabile, senza spettacolarizzazioni (superflue?!), buon gusto, materia prima sceltissima (fagioli cocco bianco da 17 eurini al chilo, parola dello chef), poi, bisogna dirlo, quando gli ho chiesto com’è che la pasta e fagioli, lui, la fa alla napoletana… “sai, devo essere sincero, odio le cose brodose, poi non è che i piatti partono tutti nello stesso momento, magari uno ti viene più asciutto, un altro meno, guarda, la densità perfetta è quella col giro d’olio che rimane sopra…”… ah Max, densità perfetta!!!
